We The People

We The People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a comprehensive civics and government curriculum that promotes civic competence and responsibility among upper elementary, middle, and high school students. The program uses a study of American history and constitutional principles to develop understanding and appreciation of our rights and responsibilities.
Students learn about the philosophical and historical foundations of the American political system, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and how citizens can influence public policy. The curriculum culminates in simulated congressional hearings where students demonstrate their knowledge and understanding before a panel of community judges.
Through critical thinking, collaborative learning, and civic action, We The People challenges students to think deeply about constitutional principles and their application to historical and contemporary issues. The program has helped millions of students become engaged, knowledgeable, and committed to the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
