About Us

The WV Civic Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening democracy through civic education. Founded with the belief that informed citizens are the cornerstone of a thriving community, we provide resources, programs, and experiences that help West Virginians—especially students and young adults—understand how government works and how to actively participate in it.

Our work focuses on making civic learning accessible, engaging, and impactful. Whether it’s through classroom resources, community workshops, or youth-led initiatives, we’re helping individuals across the Mountain State build the knowledge and confidence they need to use their voices and make a difference.
